Catalyst (7th-12th Grades)
Catalyst meets each Wednesday evening from 6:30-8:00 pm in the youth wing. A Catalyst is an agent in a chemical reaction that transforms something else without itself being transformed. Christ is that Catalyst in the lives of His children. Christ calls His children to go into the world and be catalysts in bringing others to Jesus Christ. Each Wednesday teenagers from all over the Quad Cities come to Catalyst for a time of fellowship, prayer, small group teaching and discussion, and fun. The goal of Wednesdays nights is to foster an environment where teenagers will be equipped and given the opportunity to love and serve God and grow in relationship with each other.
Dinner @ the T's (7-12th Grades)
Each Thursday from 6:00-7:00pm, Catalyst youth are invited to attend a free, family-style meal at Isaac and Kathee's. This laid-back time of fellow-ship is a great way to build relationships and build unity within Catalyst.
The Following (7th-12th Grades)
The Following is a youth Bible study, meeting each Thursday evening for an hour beginning at 7:00pm at Isaac's house (2366 30th Street, Moline). The Bible study is for youth with a serious interest in the deeper study of God's Word. By using the inductive Bible study approach, the youth read the Bible and learn firsthand Biblical Truth. During youth and adult-led discussion, youth are challenged to incorporate Christ into every area of their lives.
Fellowship and Service Events (7th-12th Grades)
Regular fellowship and service events are scheduled for Catalyst throughout the year. These events are for community-building, worship, ser-vice, outreach, and fun. There are a wide range of activities scheduled. Some events include area-wide youth gatherings, canoe trips, all-church ac-tivities, service days, retreats, youth-led worship services, 30-Hour Famine, ski trips, dinner & movie nights, Comedy Sportz, and other fun and life-changing opportunities.
High School Mission Trip
Each summer the high school youth have the opportunity to participate in a short-term missions trip. Although the summer of 2009 was spent serving Christ in Moldova, Eastern Europe, most years the youth spend serving in Pittsburgh, PA, at The Pittsburgh Project.
